If you want 2012 to your best year ever, better start NOW!
On Thursday you'll be getting together with friends and family, many of whom you haven't seen in months or even years. I propose that you give them a gift; the gift of listening.
Now, I'm not saying to turn this Turkey Day into a working lunch, or that you have ulterior motives on your mind all day. But if you listen you just might find out that there are things you can do to help, and solutions you can provide to your loved ones.
This one little "gift" could give you the intel you need to jump-start your business for the new year.

Maybe an Uncle is struggling with old equipment in his business or in need of cash for expansion or improvement. Your cousin might be losing sales due to not having consumer financing options for his customers. Maybe a friend needs extra operating capital for the holidays. You might even find someone looking for a career change who could partner up with you.
It's not a bad or selfish thing to always be looking for opportunities to offer solutions. In our business it's what we do. The point is to take something that you love (Turkey, Football, Family) and develop your marketing
strategy around it. Have fun with it, be sincere about your intentions
and the business will come.
